Terms and Conditions
A site usually consists of text and images. This content is the client's choice and must be correct when delivered along with instructions for placement. The look of the opening page and the subsequent pages will be determined and then client content will be placed. The goal will be clear presentation and easy navigation. All content material must be delivered on CD unless arrangements are made for writing and photography by Designs for Web.
The site will be presented at a temporary URL on the Designs for Web server. It will be moved to the client's server after approval and final payment.
Changes made after the site has been approved will be made at hourly rates.
Payment for larger projects will be 30% at the start of the job and the rest upon signoff but before loading to client's server. Delivery of the site will be made on CD, DVD, or by FTP.
The site will be viewable on all browsers, but older versions may not be able to show features that require current versions. Some new technology in Web site presentation is not compatible with older browsers or ones without certain plug-ins.
A page can be found by search engines if the Title, visible text, and meta tags are coordinated. There is no way to guarantee placement in a search, however. The narrower the search the more likely a page will be found at the top of the list. As an example, do a search on Google for "ford camper truck" and see what pages comes up. Usually this page, http://www.ancilnance.com/html/188.htm, comes in the top ten. The page title, visible text, meta tags and alt tags are coordinated, and it is a narrow subject matter, so it is easy to get into the top ten with a three word search. Broader subjects and two-word searches are less likely to produce consistent results in the first ten reports.
